Alpha Express is a parcel delivery business in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This page covers the "alpha-backup" tool, a private tool used only by Alpha Express to save backup copies of its own business database.
Each night the Alpha Express server uploads an encrypted-in-transit copy of its own database file to one Google Drive folder owned by Alpha Express. The tool uses only the Google Drive scope "drive.file", so it can see only the files it created itself. It cannot see any other file in the Drive account.
The backup holds Alpha Express business records: parcel details, customer names, phone numbers and addresses given to us for delivery, delivery staff accounts (passwords are stored hashed), prices and end-of-day cash reports.
We use this data only to run deliveries and to recover from a failure. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or share it with anyone outside Alpha Express, except where the law requires. The tool is not offered to the public and has no other users.
The tool receives an access token for the Alpha Express Google Drive account. The token is stored only on the Alpha Express server. We do not read, store or transfer any other Google user data.
Backups older than 30 days are deleted automatically. Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To ask about, correct or delete your delivery information, contact us below.
